What a lovely sunny weekend to spend getting the boat ready for the new season- and not a moment to soon with Easter coming early this year. Two days hard graft for Jen and I, but Karisma has been cleaned from stem to stern, and her sails and canvas re-rigged. We have a couple of small jobs left to do; when the weather is warmer I am going to have to sand and re-varnish most of her brightwork, which has taken a battering in such a wet winter. But we’ll have her engine recomissioned this week and then she’ll be ready for another year of adventure. The plan? Sail west.
